Payrolls grew by 29,000 in September and unemployment was 4.2%. July and August were revised down by a combined 60,000. Information and professional and business services showed little change.
Indeed's US software development postings index was 77.32 on September 18 (February 2020 = 100), still about 23% below pre-pandemic levels.
